Saray Hotel is the
first Turkish-Cypriot hotel, built by the Vakif. [Unlike any other
foundation, the Vakif (or Vakf) is a religious foundation]. The
construction of the hotel began in 1959 and continued for three
years and finally in the March of 1962 the hotel began its
services.
Saray Hotel has 72 rooms and 144 beds. The rooms have central
air-conditioning, a TV, a telephone, and a mini bar. The hotel
also has a disco, an American bar, and a casino. The center of
attraction in the hotel is the roof restaurant-bar, once here one
has a bird's eye view of Nicosia. Located in the very center of
Nicosia, Saray Hotel offers its guests the practicality of being
close to public transportation and the city shops.

At Royal Hotel, you
are greeted cordially at the door by the smiling personnel. The
hotel has a bed capacity of 202 and a room capacity of 86. The
rooms are furnished with a mini bar, a direct phone, a music
broadcasting service, a satellite TV, a bed phone and a hair
dryer. The hotel's heating and cooling system and the music broadcasting
system are all centralised. There is a conference lounge
and with its modern casino, the hotel provides its customers a
superb service.
There is an international standard indoor swimming pool, a Turkish bath,
a sauna and massage center that the guests can take advantage of
both in winter and in summer. You can read yourself of the day's
fatigue and stress by trying the sports equipment in the fitness
centre.
