HARID FEDAI
|
|
|
He was born in Lefke in 1930. After he finished Cyprus
Islamic High School, and after he continued with his further education in Turkey. He
worked in Cyprus radio broad casting cooperation and he has written some
books and poems.

MINE BALMAN
|
|
|
She was born in 1927 in Lefke. After she finished Victoria high school
she went to a college where she graduated in 1946. She taught as a teacher
up until 1985 in the elementary school. Some of her poems have been puplished
in the newspapers called Halkinsesi, Bozkurt and Soz, Kibris.

NECLA SALIH SUPHI

|
She was born in 1926 in Nicosia and she graduated from the Victoria
teaching college after serving as a teacher for a short period of time
she started to work in the high school where she was graduated from, she
taught on music and hand crafts.

|
|
|
Beratli, born in 1952 in Lefke,
is a medical doctor, journalist, author and an established researcher and
authority on Turkish-Cypriot history.

CUMHUR DELICEIRMAK
|
|
|
Turkish-Cypriot sculptor,
painter and poet. Born in Lefke in 1951, he studied at Lefkosa Erkek Lisesi, and
Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts, where he majored in ceramics and painting.

Limana yakin bir yerde bir guzellik verir.
Portakal bahceleri ile memlekete,
Hele olsun bir gece sen de orda olmalisin.
Gelir uzaktan liman sesleri,
Cinlatir Lefkenin dort bir yerini.
Etrafi cevrilmistir daglar ile.
Iki dere gecer ayirir Lefke'yi ikiye.
Gel gor arkades bir Lefke'yi.
Seveceksin istemeyerek.
Bagliyacak seni o guzel bahcelerine,
Turuncu olur o mevsim.
portokallar olunca ,
Guler sanki Lefkenin Yuzu.
Sarilir yerli capaya hemen.
"capalayim" der " seneye,
olur belki daha guzel"
Biraz yuru git kuzeye.
Goreceksin duyacaksin orada,
Bir makine sesi cikar
Bir duman burur her tarafi.
Fakat kokuyu yok eder,
Guzel cam agaclari.
Burasi Lefke'nin en islek yeri,
Burasi Lefke'nin madeni. |
