Born in Serdarli, Famagusta in 1947. He studied Arts at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts,
graduating in 1973 from the Neshet Günal atelier of the Academy.
The artist works on naturmort, portraits and posters. Bayraktar also won several
prizes for his works and many of his paintings are in private collections as well
as in the North Cyprus State Museum of Fine Arts. In his paintings, the arist
says he tries to capture the "behavioral characteristics" of the Cypriot
people.Ali Çelebi and Dinçer Erimez ateliers. He received the third
prize at the Ahmet Andiçen competition upon his graduation from the Academy
in 1972.
