TRANSPORTATION TO LEFKE
   
  GETTING TO LEFKE  FROM OTHER PARTS OF NORTH CYPRUS 
   The traffic signs that direct the drivers to Lefke from any parts of Cyprus have been placed along the main roads. For example; if some one is going to Lefke from Nicosia, he must drive approximately 75 km towards west by following the traffic sign that to Lefke and when he comes to Gemikonagi he must turn left and keep driving all the way for about 5 km more and reach for town.
   
  GETTING TO LEFKE  FROM ABROAD
 

Those who wish to travel to Lefke from Turkey and other countries should either take the flight or the boat to come to North Cyprus first and then use the traffic sign for reaching Lefke.

Those who will travel by plane will land into the Ercan airport and then follow the routes to get to Lefke through the signs which are seen along the main roads. In this respect the distance between Lefke and Ercan airport will be approximately 85 km.

Passengers traveling by boat have to come either to Kyrenia or to Famagusta harbour, will have to follow different routes. passengers who get off the boat at Kyrenia harbour will have to follow the directions going to Lefke. The distance between Kyrenia and Lefke is approximately 100 km. The best way to get to Lefke from Kyrenia is to get to Güzelyurt from Kyrenia, first by driving towards west and after reaching to Güzelyurt is to continue to drive again 20 more km towards west until reaching to Gemikonagi and making a left hand turn at the interjunction of two roads between south and west. Driving for another 5km from that point towards south to reach Lefke.

   
  TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES WITHIN LEFKE 
  There are some bus services in Lefke every one hour, leaving Lefke for Güzelyurt and Nicosia. The buses leave from center of Lefke end are on time. There are also minibuses that provide services for travels to the settlement units around Lefke. Mini buses operate an a half an hour base. Also some taxis are available which are on calls people who wish the travel by taxi, they just phone and ask for a taxi.
