| Istiklal Primary School |
Lefke's main elementary school,
the Istiklal Primary was built
in 1953 with the contributions made possible by Fadil Nekipzade.
At first their were two elementary schools when the population in town
was fairly high but after 1974 the population had decreased quiet a bit as a
result of which the two primary schools in Lefke were combined under Istiklal.
The school has around 238 students
in attendance during a school year.
